Furniture Assistance Referral Program | Up Giving Village - Metro Atlanta

Up Giving Village partners with the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta to provide access to essential furniture for creating safe and comfortable living spaces. Below is the information you need to apply, meet eligibility requirements, and understand what to expect during the process.

Referral Requirements

To ensure a smooth process for receiving furniture assistance, please review the following key details.

Eligibility Categories for Clients

To qualify for a referral, one of the following criteria must apply to you:

• Experiencing Homelessness
• Survivor of Domestic Violence
• Living with HIV/AIDS
• Low-income and in need of furniture due to an emergency (such as fire, bed bugs, or flooding)If any of these situations describe your current condition, you are eligible for a referral through the Resilience in Motion Family Membership program.
  

Key Requirements for Clients

• Access to Residence: Clients must physically have access to the residence before being referred for furniture.
• Paperwork and Payment: All required paperwork and payment must be submitted through Up Giving Village before your referral is submitted to the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta and an appointment is scheduled.
• Gently Used Furniture: All furniture provided is gently used but in good condition.
• Mandatory Delivery: Clients cannot pick up furniture themselves; delivery is required.
• Delivery Zone: You must reside within the Delivery Zone Zip Codes listed below.

Up Giving Village Responsibilities

Up Giving Village ensures that all information provided by both Up Giving Village and the client is truthful and accurate.
All client questions should be directed to Up Giving Village, who will communicate with the Furniture Bank. The Furniture Bank cannot directly communicate with each client due to limited staff.

Delivery Zones and Fees

• Regular Curbside Delivery Zone: $100
• Regular In-Home Delivery Zone: $200
• Extended Curbside Delivery Zone: $150
• Extended In-Home Delivery Zone: $250Please note: Delivery fees are waived for HOPWA clients.

To proceed with your referral:

• Complete the Resilience in Motion Family Membership form here.
• We will contact you within 48 business hours to confirm your application and schedule your appointment with Up Giving Village to finalize your referral.
• Submit all required documents via email to furniture@upgivingvillage.com.
• Submit your delivery fee payment during your appointment with Up Giving Village.
