Meet Our Founder: Jeannette Poinsette
Jeannette Poinsette is the visionary founder of Up Giving Village, an organization dedicated to fostering inclusion, resilience, and holistic well-being for youth, caregivers, veterans, and seniors. With a passion for empowering communities, she created Up Giving Village to provide supportive spaces where individuals of all abilities can connect, grow, and thrive.
Jeannette’s commitment to service is deeply rooted in her extensive experience in healthcare and ministry. She holds an Associate’s degree in Theology and a diploma in Patient Care Technology, having worked directly in the healthcare industry for over 16 years. Through her work in patient advocacy, caregiving, and direct medical support, she has witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by families navigating disabilities, aging, and mental health challenges. These experiences became the driving force behind her mission to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
In addition to leading Up Giving Village, Jeannette is passionate about teaching youth biblical studies, helping young people develop faith, leadership skills, and a sense of purpose. She is also currently pursuing a degree in accounting, equipping herself with the financial acumen to ensure Up Giving Village remains sustainable, impactful, and mission-driven.
Under Jeannette’s leadership, Up Giving Village has launched transformative initiatives, including youth mental health advocacy, caregiver wellness programs, and intergenerational engagement activities. She played a key role in securing local government recognition for youth mental health awareness, demonstrating her ability to create lasting change.
Her unwavering belief in the power of community, connection, and service continues to guide Up Giving Village’s work. Through her dedication, leadership, and compassionate approach, Jeannette remains a driving force in uplifting lives and strengthening communities for generations to come.
